In 2015, Theresa Schortgen was astonished by the complete lack of general knowledge about menstrual health. At every Introductory Session, she had women and couples saying “Why have I never been told this before?” Motivated to spread menstrual health literacy, Theresa founded The Creighton Model Education Foundation, INC. Since 2015, The Creighton Model Education Foundation has set up booths at local fairs, distributed brochures, hosted a retreat for teenagers with Down Syndrome, offered The Wonder of Eve programs for teenagers and sponsors annual education programs for practitioners.
The Creighton Model Education Foundation, INC. equips practitioners to lead in their communities. The Creighton Model Education Foundation provides scholarships and housing for those interested in becoming a practitioner. Theresa is currently working towards publication in nursing journals about PMS and gynecological health.
The Creighton Model Education Foundation, INC. provides funding to equip women to share a language with their physicians. We help women know the truths about their bodies so they can make informed choices.
Our foundation educates women about moral, ethical, and professional reproductive services.
